The programmable outputs available on the Cortex EBC cannot be used to directly control standard relays due to the voltage spike that occurs when the relay turns off.  The Hella  933791091 relays feature an integrated suppression diode which eliminates the voltage spike and allows these relays to be safely controlled by the Cortex EBC.

D87 configuration provides two normally open terminals.

The Hella 933791091 Diode Protected Relay can be used to provide a basic on/off switch for a single device that draws up to 40 amps or two devices that draw up to 20 amps each. Possible applications include secondary fuel pumps, air to water intercooler pumps, intercooler sprayer pumps, non-progressable nitrous solenoids, and fans.
